(Series of 1969) AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING SUMS OF MONEY TO DEFRAY EXPENSES AND LIABILITIES OF THE CITY OF ASPEN, COLORADO, FOR THE CITY'S FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING JANUARY 1, 1970 AND ENDING ON THE LAST DAY OF DECEMBER, 1970, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY WHEREAS, the City Council has, by resolution, adopted a budget for the City for the fiscal year beginning January 1, 1970 and ending on the last day of December, 1970; and, WHEREAS, the City Council has, by Ordinance, made the proper tax levy in mills upon each dollar of the total assessed valuation of all taxable property within the City, such levy representing the amount of taxes for City purposes necessary to provide for payment during the City's said fiscal year of all properly authorized demands upon the treasury; and, WHEREAS, the amount of estimated revenues previously submitted to the City Council for the adoption of the annual budget for the City of Aspen, Colorado for the fiscal year beginning January 1, 1970 and ending December 31, 1970 has been revised; and, WHEREAS, the City Council is now desirous of amending the appropriations allocated in its Ordinance No. 31, Series of 1969, for the ensuing fiscal year to provide for the estimate of increased revenues. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ASPEN, COLORADO: Section 1: That the following appropriations are hereby made for the City of Aspen, Colorado for the fiscal year beginning January i, 1970 and ending on the last day of December, 1970. Section 2. Debt Retirement on special assess- 15,660.00 Section 8: Special Assessment #66-1 For the payment of principal and interest on special assess- ment bonds. Debt Retirement 26,525.00 Section 9: For the 'payment of principal ment bonds. Debt Retirement Special Assessment #67-1 and interest on special assess- 29,265.00 Section 10: Because of the matters and things hereinabove set forth, the City Council of the City of Aspen, Colorado, hereby finds, determines and declares that an emergency exists and that this ordinance is necessary for the immediate preservation of public peace, health and safety.
