AN ORDINANCE AMENDING TITLE VI, CHAPTER 9, OF THE OFFICIAL
CODE OF THE CITY OF ASPEN, PERTAINING TO THE COMPULSORY
EMPLOYEE REGISTRATION CODE, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY TO EXIST.
BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of
Aspen, Colorado:

Section ~: Section 6-9-8, subsection (g), Chapter 9,
is hereby amended to read as follows:
Title VI,
(g) It shall be unlawful for any person to give false
information to the Department in connection with
registration. Any registration card issued on the basis
of false information may be cancelled by the Municipal Judge
and such applicant may not be allowed to register for
six (6) months after such cancellation or any portion of
that six (6) months period at the discretion of the
Police Magistrate.

Section~ Because of the matters and things hereinabove set forth,
the City Council of the City of Aspen, Colorado, hereby finds,
determines and declares that an emergency exists, and that this
ordinance is necessary for the immediate preservation of public
peace, health and safety.
