HomeMy WebLinkAboutordinance.council.004-62ORDINANCE NO. ~ (Series of 1962) AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ARTICLE 4, CHAPTER 2, SECTION 2(2) KNOWN AS THE "ELECTRICAL CODE ~AMENDMENTS," OF THE OFFICIAL COp~ OF THE CITY OF ASPEN, AND REPEALING ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWIT~_:iAND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY TO EXIST. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL FOR THE CITY OF ASPEN, COLORADO: SECTION 1: Article 4, Chapter 2, Section 2(2) of the Official Code of Aspen, shall be and is hereby amended to read as follows: "SECTION 4-2-2(2): Ail electrical wiring in Types 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 construction as described by the Uniform Building Code, having Group A, B, C, D, E and G occupancies, as defined in said Uniform Building Code, and such Group F and H occupancie~ where the occupant load exceeds fifty and/or the structure as such exceeds two or more stories in height as defined by the Uniform Building Code, shall be en- cased in metal conduits, raceways or in approved armor." SECTION 2: That portion of Section 4-2-2(2) in conflict with Section 1 hereof shall be, and is hereby, repealed, but such repeal shall not be effective and operative prior to the effective and operative date of this Ordinance. SECTION 3: An emergency is declared to exist and the immediate passage of this Ordinance is necessary for the public peace, health and safety of the inhabitants of the City of Aspen, Colorado, and this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect five days after its final publication. INTRODUCED, READ AND ORDERED published as provided by law by the City Council of Aspen, Colorado, at its regular meeting held at Aspen, Colorado, this 20th day of August, 1962.
