HomeMy WebLinkAboutordinance.council.002-61 ORDINANCE NO.~.- (Series of 1961) AN ORDINANCE VACATING THE ALLEY IN BLOCK 66 OF THE ORIGINAL TOWNSITE AND CITY OF ASPEN AND RESERVING AN EASEMENT FOR PUBLIC UTILITIES. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ASPEN: SECTION ONE: That all that part of the alley in Block 66 of the original Townsite of the City of Aspen from its intersection with the easterly line of North Center Street thence easterly to its intersection with the Westerly line of North Aspen Street, shall be, and the same hereby is, vacated as a public alley. SECTION TWO: That there is expressly reserved from the above vacation of said alley an easement for the use, operation, construction and maintenance of public utilities to be placed underground and overhead, including, but not exclusively, power and telephone lines, water lines, gas mains, sewer mains and other utility easements of a like nature, but excluding roads and surface easements.
