AN ORDINANCE VACATING THAT PORTION OF CLEVELAND STREET LYING NORTHERLY
OF HOPKINS AVENUE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ASPEN:
WHEREAS, Cleveland Street lying northerly of its intersec-
tion with Hopkins Avenue, thence Northerly to its intersection with
the Southerly line of the alley in Blocks 25 and 26, East Aspen Addi-
tional Townsite has from time ~mmemorial been utilized by individuals
through the construction of dwelling houses thereon and has in fact
not been utilized for public access;
WHEREAS, the City has retained the West eighteen feet of
Lot L, Block 25, East Aspen Additional Townsite, for utilization as
it may deem to the best interests of the public;
WHEREAS, the vacation of Cleveland Street .as described
above shall not deprive any individuals or members of the public of
access to their property;
WHEREAS, the vacation of Cleveland Street to the intersec-
tion with the southerly line of the alley is for the best interests
of the public and the City of Aspen,
NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained, that all that part of
Cleveland Street lying northerly of the North line of Hopkins Avenue
and southerly of the southerly line of the alley in Blocks25 and 26,
East Aspen Additional Townsite Entry, shall be and is hereby vacated
as a public street° ~,~ ~
