(Series of 198--~--- A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF AN AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF ASPEN, COLORADO, AND THE BOARD OF COUNTY COM- MISSIONERS OF PITKIN COUNTY, COLORADO, TERMINATING THE JOINT MAIN- TENANCE AND POLICING AGREEMENT DATED SEPTEMBER 13, 1976, AND PRO- VIDING FOR THE TRANSFER OF OWNERSHIP OF THE COUNTY TRAIL SYSTEM TO THE CITY, AND AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE SAID AGREEMENT ON BEHALF OF THE CITY OF ASPEN WHEREAS, there has been submitted to the City Council an Agreement between the City of Aspen, and the Board of County Com- mssioners of Pitkin County, Colorado, which agreement terminates a prior joint maintenance and policing agreement dated September 13, 1976, whereby the County assumed the responsibility for the main- tenance, repair and signing of all trails within the City of Aspen and provides for the transfer of ownership of the County Trail System to the City. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ASPEN, COLORADO: Section That the City Council of the City of Aspen does approve the Agreement between the City of Aspen and the County Commissioners of Pitkin County, Colorado, terminating that joint maintenance and policing agreement dated September 13, 1976, between the City and County and approving the transfer of ownership of the County Trail System to the City, which agreement is attached hereto and incor- porated by this reference; and does further authorize the Mayor, on the effective date of this resolution, to execute said Agree- ment on behalf of the City of Aspen.
