A RESOLUTION OF OPPOSITION TO THE MISSILE EXPERIMENTAL (MX)
MISSILE SYSTEM
WHEREAS,

speak out with a united voice; and
WHEREAS, Western Solidarity is the western coordinating
organization uniting all citizen groups in opposition to the MX;
and

WHEREAS, Western Solidarity is supported by hundreds of
Church, agricultural, peace, and citizen action groups throughout
the West; and
WHEREAS, through resolution at the National Conference of
Nuclear Weapons Freeze Coalition, the work of Western Solidarity
to defeat the MX was endorsed; and
WHEREAS, the Aspen City Council is charged with the responsi-
bility for the health, safety,

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ASPEN, COLORADO:
