A RESOLUTION PURSUANT TO SECTION 25-23 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF
THE CITY OF ASPEN, COMMONLY KNOWN AS THE "ASPEN CABLE TELEVISION
SYSTEM ORDINANCE;', DETERMINING THAT A BOND IN THE AMOUNT OF
$250,000.00 IS SATISFACTORY TO GUARANTEE THE TIMELY CONSTRUCTION,
FULL ACTIVIATION AND PROPER INSTALLATION OF CANYON CABLE'S TELE-
VISION SYTEM
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 25-23, Municipal Code of the
City of Aspen, cable television system permittees are required to
obtain and maintain at their own cost and expense, and file with
the City Clerk, a construction bond provided by a company author-
ized to do business in the State of Colorado and in a form accep-
table to the City Attorney, in the amount of $500,000.00, or at
such lesser amounts as the City Council may by resolution find to
be satisfactory, to guarantee the timely construction, full acti-
vation and proper installation of permittee's cable television
system; and
WHEREAS, Micro Cable Communications Corporation d/b/a Canyon
Cable TV Corporation (hereinafter "Canyon Cable") has applied for
a cable television system permit, which has been approved by
ordinance of the City Council; and
WHEREAS, the City Council intends to
electors requesting authorization for the
to Canyon Cable; and
WHEREAS, the City Council recognizes that Canyon Cable pre-
sently operates a cable television system in the City of Aspen
and, therefore, a bond in the sum of $250,000.00 is satisfactory
to guarantee the timely construction, full activation and proper
installation of Canyon Cable's television system.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE

That pursuant to the Aspen Cable Television
specifically Section 25-23 of the Municipal Code
System Ordinance,
of the City of
Aspen, the City Council does hereby find that a bond of
$250,000.00 shall be satisfactory to guarantee the timely con-
struction, full activation and proper installation of Canyon
Cable's television system, if authorization for the granting of
said permit is approved by the electors and provided further, that
Canyon Cable complies with all of the remaining requirements of
Section 25-23 of the Municipal Code of the City of Aspen, Colo-
rado.
