RESOLUTION NO.
(Series of 1984)
A RESOLUTION DIRECTING THE EXERCISE OF THE CITY'S OPTION TO PUR-
CHASE UNIT 1, CHAPMAN CONDOMINIUMS; APPROVING THE CONVEYANCE OF
SAID CONDOMINIUM UNIT TO ASPEN SCHOOL DISTRICT NO. 1 PURSUANT TO
THE TERMS OF THE PURCHASE AND OPTION AGREEMENT ANNEXED HERETO; AND
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER AND/OR MAYOR TO EXECUTE SUCH DOCU-
MENTS AS MAY BE APPROPRIATE TO CONSUMMATE THE TRANSACTION
WHEREAS, pursuant to that Purchase, Sale and Option Agreement
dated July 22, 1980, between Janice Chapman (spouse of former City
Manager Wayne Chapman), the City has the right to exercise its
option to purchase that property commonly known as
Lane
and
715 Cemetery
and more specifically described as:
Unit 1, Chapman Condominiums (a condominium
according to the condominium map appearing in Book 10
at Page 33 of the records of Pitkin County, Colorado,
and as described in the Condominium Declaration for
Chapman Condominiums appearing on Book 396 Page 663)
being situate on Lot 2, Aspen Employee Housing No.1
Subdivision, City of Aspen;
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to exercise its option to
purchase the above-described property and to convey the same to
Aspen School District No. 1 on the terms and conditions set forth
in that Purchase and Option Agreement between the City of Aspen
and Aspen School District No. 1, annexed hereto and made a part
hereof.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ASPEN, COLORADO:
Section 1
The City Council of does hereby authorize and approve the
exercise of the City's option to purchase Unit 1, Chapman Condo-
miniums, as hereinabove described and the conveyance of said unit
to Aspen School District No. 1 in accordance with the terms of
that Purchase and Option Agreement between the City of Aspen and
School District No. 1, annexed hereto. Said agreement may be

modified as may be necessary to consummate the transaction upon
approval by the City Attorney.
Section 2
The City Manager and the Mayor are each authorized to execute
such documents on behalf of the City as may be deemed necessary to
consummate the aforesaid transactions.
