(Series of 1782) A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ASPEN, COLORADO, AUTHORIZING AN ADMINISTRATIVE DELAY IN ITS PLANNING OFFICE AND BUILDING DEPARTMENT IN THE ACCEPTANCE AND PROCESSING OF ALL APPLICATIONS FOR APPROVALS AND/OR PERMITS FOR NEW OR CONVERSION TIME-SHARE PROJECTS WITHIN THE CITY OF ASPEN WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Aspen, Colorado, is in the proceSS of reviewing its ordinances regulating time-share projectS within the City of Aspen, and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Aspen has before it a pending ordinance providing for the imposition of a six (6) month moratorium on new or conversion time-share projects within all zone districts of the City of Aspen, and WHEREAS, the courtS are sensitive to the inequities involved in requiring local governmentS to meet certain time-consuming pro- cedural requirementS prior to the adoption of amendmentS to land- use codes during which time applicantS may defeat the intended effectS of any amendment by applying for approvals prior to the effective date of the amendment. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY cOUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ASPEN, COLORADO: That it does hereby authorize and direct an administrative delay in its Planning office and Building Department in the acceptance and processing of all applications for land-use approvals and/or building permits for new or conversion time-share projectS which would be prohibited by the adoption of the afore- said moratorium ordinance, pending a review of the City of Aspen'S present and proposed time-share regulations, until the later of (1) the scheduled date of the public hearing and second reading of the proposed moratorium ordinance, if such ordinance fails, or (2) RECORD OF PROCEEDINGS 100 Leaves__ until the effective date of such ordinance, if such ordinance is passed. , 1982.
