HomeMy WebLinkAboutresolution.council.049-81RECORD OF PROCEEDINGS 1 O0 Leaves RESOLUTION NO. ~ (Series of 1 WHEREAS, Charles Dwig~t nas suDmitted an application to the City Council requesting that the moratorium on the demolition and removal of historic structures imposed by Ordinance No. 20 (Series o~ 1981) be lifted with respect to that structure located at 101 East Hallam Street, City of Aspen, for the purpose o[ partially demolishing and remodeling said structure; and WHEREAS, the City Council is advised that on SeptemDer 8, 1981, the Historic Preservation Committee determined that the structure located at 101 East Hallam Street has no current his- toric or architectural significance in its current state; and WHEREAS, Section 3 o~ Ordinance No. 20 (Series of 198i) pro- vides that the moratoriual may he lifted by resolution of the City Council with respect to an individual structure upon a ~inding by the City Council that the structure proposed to be removed or demolished is not, in fact, historically or architecturally signi- ficant. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ASPEN, COLORADO~ Section 1 That the City Council finds that the structure located at 101 East Hallam Street, City of Aspen, is not historically or archi- tecturally significant, and the moratorium imposed by Ordinance NO. 20 (Series o~ 1981) be and the same is hereby lifted with respect to sai~ structure for the purpose of partial demolition and remodeling. Section 2 That the Chief Building Inspector be and he hereby is author- ized to issue a building permit for the purpose o~ partially RECORD OF PROCEEDINGS 100 Leaves demolishing Street.
