HomeMy WebLinkAboutresolution.council.021-80RECORD OF PROCEEDINGS RECORD OF PROCEEDINGS RESOLUTION NO. 8~0)- (Set±es of 19 WHEREAS, the City Manager, designated by Charter to prepare the budget, has prepared and submitted to the Mayor and City Council the Annual Budget for the City of Aspen, Colorado, for the fiscal year beginning January 1, 1981, and ending December 31, 1981; and WHEREAS, the assessed valuation of taxable property for the year 19~ in the City of Aspen returned by the County Assessor of Pitkin County, is the sum of SIXTY-FOUR MILLION, ONE HUNDRED THREE THOUSAND EIGHT HUNDRED NINETY ($64,103,890) DOLLARS; and WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that the proper mill levy upon each dollar of the assessed valuation on all taxable property within the AsseSsor sufficient City shall be to produce ad amount of THREE HUNDRED that determined by the County valorem tax proceeds in the FOUR THOUSAND, FOUR HUNDRED NINETY ($304,490) DOLLARS; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT CITY OF ASPEN, COLORADO: That for the purpose of RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE defraying the expenses of the City of Aspen, Colorado, during the fiscal year beginning January 1, 1981 and ending December 31, 1981, there is hereby levied a tax on said dollar of the assess valuation of the taxable property in the City of Aspen, Colorado for the purpose of raising the sum of $304,490.00 which, together with the Fund Balance and revenue from all QDher source, is estimated to meet budget expenditure requirements and provide a reasonable closing Fund Balance for said fiscal year. KOCh, duly appointed and acting City Clerk of the City of Aspen, Colorado, do herby certify that the fore- going is a true and correct copy of the Resolution adopted by the City Council at its meeting held Q~ ~, 1980, which Resolution was adopted subsequent to the public hearing on such p~oposed hudget held O~ /~ /?~O , and prior to the final day established by law for the certification of the ensu- ing year's tax levy to Pitkin County, all as required by Sections 9.6 and 9.3 of the Aspen Home Rule Charter.
