HomeMy WebLinkAboutresolution.council.006-75RECORD OF PROCEEDINGS 100 Leaves RESOLUTION NO. ~ (Series of 1975) WHEREAS, the cost of living characteristics of the City of Aspen have been of continuing concern to the City Council, with specific concern being directed to employee wages and housing, and WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to aid the Colorado Department of Labor in its anticipated action to request of the General Assembly an increase in the minimum wage for the entire State of Colorado, and WHEREAS, the City Attorney has been advised that a resolution of record in support of this action will aid the Department in its request, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ASPEN, COLORADO: That it does hereby endorse and strongly support any action on the part of the Department of Labor to encourage the legislative adoption of an increased statewide minimum wage, at least comparable with that imposed by the federal government.
