(Series of 1973) WHEREAS, the City Council has considered it highly desirable that in the naming or renaming of public streets, parks, ways, buildings and other facilities that consideration be given to the names of persons or places having historical significance to the Aspen area, and WHEREAS, the Aspen Historical Society has requested that proposals for name changes be first submitted to the Society so that such suggestions and recommendations can be made by the Society to the City Council. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ASPEN, COLORADO: That before the City shall name or rename any public street, park, way, building or other facility, that recommen- dations be first requested of the Aspen Historical Society se that said Society can suggest names of historical signi- ficance to the Aspen area.
