RESOLUTION NO. 10
Series of 1970
WHEREAS, the growth in Pitkin County has placed
upon the various County Officials a work load far in excess
of the remuneration allowed under existing Statutes governing
counties of the State of Colorado, and,
WHEREAS, the County Commissioners of Pitkin County
have requested of the State Legislature their consideration
in raising the classification of Pitkin County to II-B which
classification would provide a more realistic salary schedule
for county employees, and,
WHEREAS, the Mayor and City Council of the City of
Aspen realize the validity of this request and lend their
support to the request of the County Officials,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and
Council of the City of Aspen support the request of the
County Officials to raise the classification of Pitkin County,
and that it be spread upon the public records of this City
and copies of the same be sent to the County Commissioners
of Pitkin County and to the Honorable John Vanderhoof, R~pre-
sentative and the Honorable Fay DeBerard, State Senator.
