WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Aspen,
Colorado, has adopted an official map of the City of Aspen,
Colorado; and
WHEREAS, various buildings have existed for long
periods of time and have encroached upon public alleys as
set out on such official plat of the City of Aspen; and
WHEREAS, the land areas affected by these encroach-
ments are not presently needed for public purposes within the
City of Aspen.
NOW, THEREFORE~ be it resolved by the City Council
of the City of Aspen, Colorado, that all such buildings may
remain as presently located for the present and until such
time as the City of Aspen, Colorado, by and through its
City Council, determines that any one or more of such build-
ings interferes with the free public passage, or the needs
of the City of Aspen.
Be it further resolved, however~ that all such
encroachments shall be deemed permissive only, and that no
right as against the City is created by this Resolution.
The above Resolution was adopted by the Aspen City Council at
a regular meeting held May 18, 196~.
