HomeMy WebLinkAboutresolution.hpc.009-1991RESOLUTION NO. 9 (Series of L991) ~ RESOLUTION OF THE~fl~PENHISTORIC PRESERVATION COHI~XTTEE REGARDING THE ~PPOINTI~NT OF HPC NE~BERS TO THE CHAI~CTER ~ND COI~UNITY CITIZENS COIOfITTEBS OF THE ASPEN ~RF~ COI414UNITY PLaN WHERE~B, the Aspen/Pitkin Planning Department is currently in the process of developing the Aspen Area Community Plan (AACP), and WHEREAS, citizen input is a vital aspect to the development of this plan, and NHEREAS, Citizen Committees have been formed to address the five basic areas of the Plan: Character, Community and Growth, Transportation, Housing and Open Space. members to serve on the Character Committees, and WHERF2%S, the HPC is in the process The HPC has appointed two and Community and Growth of revising the 1986 Historic Preservation Element of the Aspen Area Comprehensive Plan; the goals and objectives of this revised Element address character issues within the context of historic and community preservation, and WHEREAS, the integration of these goals and objectives into the overall Aspen Area Community Plan under development is found by the HPC to be central to the continuation and enhancement of Aspen's Historic Preservation Program. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE ~SPEN PRESERVATION COI~ITTEE OF THE CITY OF ASPEN, COLOI~DO: HISTORIC Resolution No. 91- Page 2 The following regular members are appointed as HPC representatives to the citizens Committee of the Aspen Area Community Plan, Bill Poss, Chairman, Character Committee Glenn Rappaport, Community and Growth committee It shall be the responsibility of these members to solicit input from the HPC as a whole, and report the progress of each Committee.
