A RESOLUTION OF THE ASPEN HISTORIC PRESERVATION COMMISSION
APPROVING AN APPLICATION FOR AMENDMENTS TO THE DESIGN OF
UNIT B, 735 W. BLEEKER STREET, LOTS A AND B, BLOCK 18, CITY AND
TOWNSITE OF ASPEN, ASPEN, COLORADO
RESOLUTION NO. 5Ii, SERIES OF 1999
VOtEREAS, the applicant, Randall Bone, has requested approval for amendments to the
final significant development for Unit B, a new house on a historic landmark property;
and
WHEREAS, the Historic Preservation Commission held a site visit and reviewed the
amendments at a public meeting on November 17, 1999; and
WHEREAS, the Historic Preservation Commission found the proposed amendments to
be acceptable, in character with the historic resource, and in keeping with thc review
standards and approved the changes with conditions by a vote of 7-0.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
That the exterior appearance of Unit B, 735 W. Bleeker Street, as viewed by HPC at the
site and as represented in photographs and drawings presented by the applicant at the
November 17~ meeting, be approved with the following conditions:
1. The pair of double hung windows at thc kitchen (south elevation), and the dining
room (west elevation) must have crown moulding added, as on the original building
permit.
2. Apply vertical siding on the projecting bay at the master bathroom, as shown on the
original building permit, including the trim piece below the windows.
3. The french doors and sidelights on the north and south elevations will be either half
light or divided light doors.
4. The applicant can apply moulding to the bay window on the west side of the building
and is encouraged (not required) to paint the bay white, and to use the dark green trim
color to for the mouldings.
5. All representations made by the applicant in the application and during public
meetings with the Historic Preservation Commission shall be adhered to and
considered conditions of approval, unless otherwise amended by other conditions.
APPROVED BY THE COMMISSION at its regular meeting on the 17* day of
November, 1999.
