APPROVING AN APPLICATION FOR EXTENSION OF CONCEPTUAL
DEVELOPMENT APPROVAL AT 640 N. THIRD STREET, LOTS 4, 5, AND 6
(LESS THE SOUTHERLY 3.2 FEET OF LOT 6), BLOCK 102, HALLAM'S
ADDITION TO THE CITY AND TOWNSITE OF ASPEN, ASPEN, COLORADO
RESOLUTION NO. 13, SERIES OF 2002
WHEREAS, the applicant, Jim Daggs, has requested a six month extension of the HPC
conceptual approval for the property located at 640 N. Third Street, Lots 4, 5, and 6 (less
the southerly 3.2 feet of Lot 6), Block 102, Hallam's Addition to the City and Townsite
of Aspen, Aspen, Colorado. The conceptual approval was originally granted on May 23,
2001 and the property is a designated historic landmark; and
WHEREAS, Section 26.415.010.C.2.b.1 of the Municipal Code states that application
for a final development plan shall be filed within one (1) year of the date of approval ora
conceptual development plan. Unless an extension is granted by HPC, failure to file such
an application shall render null and void the approval of a conceptual development plan
previously granted by the HPC; and
WHEREAS, Amy Guthrie, in her staff report dated April 24, 2002, recommended a one
time extension be granted; and
WHEREAS, at a regular meeting of the Historic Preservation Commission on April 24,
2002, the Commission considered and approved the request by a vote of 6 to 0.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
That a one time six month extension of conceptual approval (starting from May 23, 2002)
be granted for 640 N. Third Street, Lots 4, 5, and 6 (less the southerly 3.2 feet of Lot 6),
Block 102, Hallam's Addition to the City and Townsite of Aspen, Aspen, Colorado, to
expire on November 23, 2002.
APPROVED BY THE COMMISSION at its regular meeting on the 24th day
of April 2002.
