RESOLUTION OF THE ASPEN HISTORIC PRESERVATION COMMISSION
APPROVING AN APPLICATION FOR EXTENSION OF CONCEPTUAL
DEVELOPMENT APPROVAL AT 710 SOUTH ASPEN STREET, LOTS 12, 13 AND 14,
BLOCK 8 OF THE EAMES ADDITION TO THE CITY AND TOWNSITE OF ASPEN,
ASPEN, COLORADO
RESOLUTION NO.~, SERIES OF 2005
WHEREAS, the applicant, 710 S. Aspen LLC, Greg Hills Managing Partner, represented by
Haas Land Planning and Oz Architecture, has requested a six month extension of the HPC
conceptual approval for the property located at 710 S. Aspen Street, Lots 12, 13, and 14, Block 8,
Eames Addition to the City and Townsite of Aspen, Aspen, Colorado. The conceptual approval
was originally granted on July 28, 2004 and the property is a designated historic landmark; and
WHEREAS, Section 26.415.010.C.2.b.1 of the Municipal Code states that application for a final
development plan shall be filed within one (1) year of the date of approval of a conceptual
development plan. Unless an extension is granted by HI?C, failure to file such an application
shall render null and void the approval of a conceptual development plan previously granted by
the HPC; and
WHEREAS, Sara Adams, in her staff report dated June 22, 2005 recommended a one time
extension be granted; and
WHEREAS, at a regular meeting of the Historic Preservation Commission on June, 22 2005, the
Commission considered and approved the request by a vote of 5 to 0.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
That a one time six lnonth extension of conceptual approval (starting from July 28, 2005) be
granted for 710 S. Aspen Street, Lots 12, 13, and 14, Block 8, Eames Addition to the City and
Townsite of Aspen, Aspen, Colorado, to expire on January 28, 2006.
APPROVED BY THE COMMISSION at its regular meeting on the 22nd day
of June 2005.
