WHE~AS the City of Aspen constructed, own and operate certain sewer
·
mains in the CitY of Aspen servicing property owners along or near Mdll Street
and Galena Streets in the City of Aspen,
WHEREAS the Aspen Sanitation District has constructed a sewer col-
lection system using a 'part of the City sewer lines, and said District is now
in the process of construCting a sewage treatment plant near Aspen,
WHEREAS the City Council of the City of Aspen are desirous of trans-
ferring the sewage collection lines owned and operated by it te the Aspen San-
itation District in order to prevent a duplication of services and to assure
to the users connected with the City sewer lines ef the use of the sewage dis-
posal plant which ~11 be owned and operated by the Aspen Sanitation District~
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED:
That the Mayor of the City of Aspen 'and the City Clerk for the
City of Aspen shall and they are hereby authorized and directed to transfer to
the Aspen SanitatiOn District all of the sewer collection lines now owned by
the City of Aspen.
