indirect benefits best~ed upon the City by reason of the vision
of the late Walter P. Paepcke as a result of his interest and
pursuit of the cultural and intellectual fields of study affecting
mode~ man,
W~R~S, the City of Aspen became a center for his ex-
pression throughout the United States and the entire world, which
has created a~antages to the City and to its citizens,
NOW, ~~REFORE, be i't RESOLVED, that the City Council
for the City of Aspen expresses its sincere aPpreciation for the
contributions of tho la~e Mr. Paepcke t:o tho City of Aspen and t:o
our co--try, and that the City Council on behalf of the citizens of
Aspen shall r~em~r and regret his untimely death and does hereby
express ss~npathy for his family and friends.
Be It Further RESOLED, that a copy of this Resolution
be placed with the Clerk of the City as a part of the permanent
minutes of the City of Aspen.
