HomeMy WebLinkAboutapz.res.026-92RESOLUTION OF THE ASPEN PL~NN'rNG ~D ~.ON'rNG COI~rSS:rON ~~T~'N~ SPECIAL REV'fEW FOR P~:tK?N~ FOR 1~-0 EAST I~'N STREET· ASPEN· COLORADO Resolution No. 92-~ WHEREAS, the applicant, Design Workshop Inc., submitted an application for a special review for the establishment of on-site parking for Design Workshop Inc.; and WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 24-7-404 of the Municipal Code, off-street parking requirements may be mitigate via a payment in- lieu by special review by the Planning and Zoning Commission; and WHEREAS, the Aspen Planning and Zoning Commission held a meeting August 4, 1992 to review a parking plant that proposed 5 on-site spaces and cash-in-lieu for 10 parking spaces; and WHEREAS, subsequently, the applicant purchased a portion of land from US West directly behind 120 East Main and proposed to convert the purchased space into on-site parking; and WHEREAS, the applicant amended their parking plan to provide approximately 14 on-site parking spaces with a payment in-lieu for a 15th space that cannot be accommodated on-site; and WHEREAS, the Commission reviewed the amended application for special review of on-site parking at their October 20, 1992 meeting; and WHEREAS, the Planning staff reviewed the application and recommended approval of the special review; and WHEREAS, the Commission voted to approve the special review with conditions of approval. Resolution No. 94- Page 2 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Commission that it does hereby grant special review approval with the following conditions- 1. Prior to the issuance of a certificate of occupancy the applicant shall make a one time payment for one parking space that cannot be accommodated on-site. 2. Prior to the issuance of a certificate of occupancy, the applicant shall implement the approved parking plan. 3. The applicant shall obtain a tree removal permit for any trees six inches in caliper or greater that are proposed to be removed. 4. A sign shall be posted at the entrance of the driveway off of Garmisch Street stating that this is a driveway and do not block. 5. The cars shall only be stacked two deep. 6. Surrounding property owners shall be consulted prior to signing the parking spaces. 7. This Special Review is subject to subdivision approval by City Council.
