RECOMMENDING THAT THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
I~qOVE THE PROPOSED LITTLE CLOUD SUBDIVISION
~UILDING ENVELOPE OFF OF THE MIDLAND RIGHT OF WAY

WHEI~EAS, the Aspen
(hereinafter "Commission") has
plans and options which
transportation; and

WHEREAS, the Commission reviewed and supports the three (3)
alternative alignments proposed by Kaiser Engineering: Rio
Grande, Highway Main Street, and Highway Midland Right-of-Way;

WRE~EAS, the Commission is aware that the Little Cloud
Subdivision which is being proposed in the County has one
building envelope which,
on the Midland Right-of-Way; and
WHEREAS, the Commission is aware that
building envelope on the Midland Right-of-Way is
of the right-of-way because the City has a trail
at one time, was proposed to be located
this potential

WHEREAS, the Commission has consistently recommended the use
of fixed rail whenever possible to address the Community's
transportation problems; and
W~REAS, the Commission supports the concept of a commuter
rail system in the Roaring Fork Valley between Glenwood Springs
Midland Right-of-Way at this location.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by
