~ND ZONING COMMISSION GRANTING
INSTALLATION OF ~ NEW BRIDGE
REPLACEMENT OF THE EAST HOPKINS
PEDESTRI/%NBRIDGE/%NDCONSTRUCTION OF A NEWTEAILALONGTHE ROARING
FORK RIVER, ASPEN, COLORADO
Resolution No. 91-~
WHEREAS, the Aspen Planning and Zoning Commission held a
meeting September 3, 1991; and
WHEREAS, the Commission reviewed an application for a stream
margin review for the construction of a new pedestrian/bike bridge
crossing the Roaring Fork River near the Mill Street river
crossing, a pedestrain/bike trail connecting the Art Museum trail
with the Rio Grande trail near the Aspen Consolidated Sanitation
District (ACSD) and replacing the damaged East Hopkins Street
pedestrian/bike bridge; and
WHEREAS~ pursuant to Section 24-7-504 development within 100
feet from the high water line of the Roaring Fork River and its
tributary streams, or within the one hundred year floodplain is
required to undergo Stream Margin Review; and
WHEREAS, the Planning staff reviewed the application and
recommended approval with conditions; and
WHEREAS, the Commission reviewed the application and amended
the conditions of approval to include:

NON, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Commission that it does
hereby grant stream margin approval for replacement of the East

Hopkins bridge, a new bridge crossing the Roaring Fork River near
the Mill Street river crossing and a new trail segment connecting
the Art Museum with the Rio Grande trail near the ACSD with the
following conditions:

the engineer who performed the hydraulic analysis and shall
be reviewed and approved by the Engineering Department.
