HomeMy WebLinkAboutresolution.apz.002-86RESOLUT ION NO. ~-' (Se~:[es of 198~) A RESOLUTION FORWARDING TEE 1985 C/TY OF ASPEN L-1/L-2/CC/CL AND OTHER ZONE DISTRICT GE(YWTE ~,NAGE~NT SCORE FOR THE LITTLE NELL BASE REDEVELOPMENT LODGE GMP APPLICATION WSEREAS, in accordance with Section 24-11.6(a) of the Municipal Code of the City of Aspen, Colorado, as amended, October 1 of each year is established as the deadline for submission of applications for lodge development allotments within the City of Aspen; and WHEREAS, the City Council of Aspen, Colorado, by 42, Series of 1985, changed the deadline to December 1 adopting Ordinance for submission of applications for lodge development allotments within the City of Aspen for the L-1/L-2/CC/CL and Other zone districts for 1985 only; and WBEREAS, in response to this provision, one application was submitted in the L-1/L-2/CC/CL and Other zone district lodge category of competition, by the Aspen Skiing Company (hereinafter "Applicant"), consisting of a request for a total of ninety-six (96) new lodge units; and WHEREAS, a duly noticed public hearing was held on January 21, 1986, by the Aspen Planning and Zoning Commission (hereinafter "Commission"), at which time the Commission did evaluate and score the project, and it did successfully meet the minimum required threshold of 54 points by having received 55.2 points (not including bonus points); and WHEREAS, the Commission considered the representations made by the Applicant in scoring this project; and WHEREAS, the Commission voted at the January 21, 1986 meeting to forward the score of 55.2 points to the Aspen City Council and to review the remainder of the requests made by the Applicant at further meetings; and WHEREAS, the Commission will forward their recommendations with respect to other requested approvals at a future date; and W~EREAS, the Applicant has agreed to waive the requirement in Section 24-11.6(f), as amended by Ordinance 42, Series of 1985, that the Council must allocate units to a successful applicant in the lodge competition process by March 1st of any year. NOW, TEEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY TBE CO~t~ISSION that is does hereby forward its score of 55.2 points to the Aspen City Council, as shown on the attached Talley Sheet and as supported by the original Score Sheets of the Commission member s.
