SUPPORTING THE ASPEN/PITKIN COUNTY CLEAN AIR ADVISORY BOARD
L~-'i-rER R~GARDING THE TIMING OF BALLOT QUESTIONS FOR
THE 'ENTRANCE TO ASPEN~ AND TIlE 'ROARING FORK RAILROAD~
Resolution No. 85- ~
WHEREAS, the Aspen Planning and Zoning Commission
"Commission") agrees with the Aspen/Pitkin County Clean
Board Letter to City Council dated April 7, 1986; and
(hereinafter
Air Advisory
WHEREAS, the Commission is concerned that a clear "signal" be
given on both the "Entrance" question and on the Railroad question;
and
WHEREAS, it appears that a November ballot for the "Entrance"
will not hinder work on the Environmental Impact Statement; and
WHEREAS, if the Railroad question is not on the August ballot the
Commission supports the City Council's decision to put the "Entrance"
question on the August ballot.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by
the Commission that it supports
the Aspen/Pitkin County Clean Air Advisory Board's Letter to City
Council dated April 7, 1986 suggesting a separation of the "Entrance"
and "Railroad" ballot questions.
APPROVED by the Commission at its regular meeting on April 22r
1986.
