HomeMy WebLinkAboutresolution.apz.020-85 RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING AND ZOHI'HG COI(IqZSSION FORWARDING ITS SCORE FOR THE VOLK BUILDING GPlP PROJECT AND COIqlqENTZNG 0~i THE ~g~TZAL FOR I~BLIC P~RCHASE OF THE SITE Resolution NO. 85- ~,O WHEREAS, the Aspen Planning and Zoning Commission (hereinafter "Commissionw) held a public hearing on September 19, 1985 to score the Volk Property Commercial Growth Management application; and WHEREAS, based upon the Commercial Growth Management scoring system the Conu~ission scored the Yolk Property application at 33.2 points, a n~mber in excess of the 28.8 threshold required for consid- eration of allotment; and WHEREAS, although the Commission recognizes the Volk Property applications merit in relation to the Commercial Growth Management, the Commission's scoring of the Volk Property application should not be construed as belief that a commercial develo~ent is the best use of this site; and WHEREAS, the Commission believes that public purchase of the Volk Property may be beneficial for the welfare of the community. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Commission that it does forward to Council the final score of the Volk Property proposal (scoresheet attached), pursuant to the competition and scoring process described in Section 24-11.5 of the Municipal Code.
