HomeMy WebLinkAboutresolution.apz.014-81RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF ASPEN Resolution No. 81 - 14 WHEREAS, Joan Klar has served on the Aspen Planning and Zoning Commission since August 8, 1977, and WHEREAS, Joan has generously given of her time to attend to the heavy work load that has characterized this Commission over the last four years, and WHEREAS, she has contributed intelligent analysis to the difficult problems that face this community, in particular the issues of expansion of the Aspen Institute, the opportunity for upgrading of Aspen's nonconforming lodges, the formulation of a Housing Action Plan, specific incentives for the production of employee housing, and maintaining sound growth management and land use policies, and WHEREAS, throughout the discussion and debate of matters of community policy, Joan continually asserted the high standards of quality and environmental enhance- ment which have underscored the urban design, functional system~ and unique natural ambience of the City of Aspen, and WHEREAS, Joan's cheerful disposition and warm spirit was a welcome addition to the character of the Aspen Planning and Zoning Commission and made the task of community planning a more pleasant one for all involved. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Aspen Planning and Zoning Commission that: -- 1. Joan K1ar be, and hereby is, commended for her many contributions to the workings of the Aspen Planning and Zoning Commission which have facilitated the implementation of many planning goals of this community and enhanced its viability as a unique mountain town and resort. 2. That this commendation be made a matter of public record and that a copy hereof be forwarded to Joan Klar on its adoption. Adopted unanimously by the Aspen Planning and Zoning Commission at their _ regular meeting on November 3, 1981.
