HomeMy WebLinkAboutresolution.apz.001-79ASPEN PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION Resolution No. /; /~ WHEREAS, ELLEN ANDERSON has served on the Aspen Planning and Zoning Commission continuously from August, 1978 to November, 1978, and WHEREAS, though her tenure was brief, ELLEN ANDERSON broug~ a keen insight and fresh perspective to many issues and thus promoted the planning programs of the community, and WHEREAS, during her tenure ELLEN ANDERSON has given unsparingly of her time, contributed much careful analysis to the various matters coming before this Commission, promoted the goals of sound land use practice and orderly growth for the City of Aspen, and has worked successfully to maintain the goals of the Aspen City Council and Aspen Planning and Zoning Commission, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PLANNING AND ZONING CO~qISSION FOR THE CITY OF ASPEN, COLORADO: 1. That ELLEN ANDERSON be, and hereby is, commended for her many contributions to the workings of the Aspen Planning and Zoning Commission which have facilitated the implementation of many planning goals of this community and enhanced its viability as a unique mountain town and resort. 2. That this commendation be made a matter of public record and that a copy hereof be forwarded to ELLEN ANDERSON on its adoption. Sheryl S~en, D~puty City Cl~rk RESOLUTION OF THE ASPEN INDEPENDENT COMMISSION REGARDING THE 1979 GROWTH MANAGEMENT PLAN ALLOTMENTS FOR COMMERCIAL DEVELOPMENT WHEREAS, in accordance with Section 24-10 of the Aspen Municipal Code, September 1, 1978 was established as a deadline for submission of 1979 applications for commercial development within the City of Aspen, and WHEREAS, in response to this section, three commercial projects were submitted for a total of 14,500 square feet of commercial space within the 24,000 square feet of commercial space available in 1979, and WHEREAS, duly noticed public hearings were conducted before the Aspen Historic Preservation Commission on September 25, 1978 and before this Commission on October 10, 1978 to consider the Growth Management applications and evaluate and score these applications in conformance with the criteria set down in Section 24-10 of the Aspen Code, and NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that this Commission hereby evaluates, ranks, and scores the projects submitted in the following order: Individual Commission Averages Qualitity Community Of Desi§@ Commercial Uses HPC Average TOTAL W/O BONUS 1. Fothergills 12.0 1.0 5.0 18.0 AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this Commission finds all projects have received at least the requred 30% within the Quality of Design and Historic Features section and recommends approval of all three projects.
