WHEREAS~ the Aspen Planning and Zoning Conm~ission
held a public hearing on February 19, 1974 to consider
an amendment to the zoning code to provide for development
review..,, near the 8040 greenline, and
WIERE~S~ tl{e Planning and Zoning Commission finds
it necessary to review all development near the 8040 green-
line so as to create an area of transition between the
zones bounding on either side of said greenline and to
enhance the objectives of the new zoning above said line,
to avoid losses due to potential geologic hazards, to
guarantee availability of utilities an~ adequate access,
NOW TIIEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Planning
and Zoning Comt~:[ssion hereby recommends adoption of the
attached amendment entitled AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION
24-9 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF ASPEN BY THE
A~DtTI~N OF SUBSECTION (j) THERETO, PROVIDING FOR THE
REVIEW OF ALL DEVELOPI,~CNT NEAR TilE 80Z~0 GREENLINE; DES-
CRIBING Tile OBJECTIVES OF SUCN REVIEW AND CRITERIA TO BE
