HomeMy WebLinkAboutresolution.apz.005-72August 28, 1972 PROPOSED-Ab~ND~,~ENT .TO C~LAPTER 24 OF TI{E ~.~NICIPAL CODE OF TIIE CITY OF ASPEN ALTERI~G Tt~E SQUARE FOOTAGE OF LOT AREA N~'CESSARY FOR MULTIPLE FAMILY DWELLING UNITS IN THE R~MF; AR-l, AR-2, C-C, C-i, AND C-2 ZONE DISTRICTS W~REAS, it is in the public interest to hontinually review and periodically update the City's Zoning Resolution, AND WHEt~AS, interest-was sho~n in amending portions of-the zoning code having to do with the minimum lot area square footage requirements necessary to constrmct dwelling units in the RMF, AR-I, AR-2, C-C, C-I, C-2 Zone Districts, AND WHEREAS, the Aspen Planning and Zoning Commission held a Public Hearing on said proposed amendment on June 6, 1972, NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, the Aspen Planning and Zoning Co~mnission recommends that the City Council adopt the attached amendment to Chapter 24 which includes the following: 1. addition of a lot area square footage requirement for one bedroom dwelling units separate from studio and two bedroom and larger units in the Pd~F, AR-l, AR-2, C-C, C-l, and C-2 Zone Districts; 2o increase of the lot area square footage requirement for a) Row houses in the RMF. Zone District b) Multiple family dwellings in the lhMF Zone Districts c) Patio and row houses in the AR-1 Zone District and d) Boarding houses, rooming houses and dormitories in the AR-2 Zone District; 3. Redefines ~elling Unit; 4. Redefines Boarding llouse, Rooming llouse, Dormitory. DATED Tills 28 DAY OF A_jj~j~usl- ~ 1972 Aspen City Council Public Hearing Draft January 22, 1973 PROPOSED AI~ENDIYENT TO CHAPTER 24 REGARDING CONDITIONAL USES IN AF ZONE DISTRICT Section 24-8° Uses conditional--- of adjustment (b) AF-AGRICULTURAL/FO~STRY to be amended as follows: subject to the approval of the board (1) Public buildings, towers; (2) Recreation clubs, (3) schopls, churches, hospitals, radio open use recreation sites, INCLUDING SKI RUNS, SKI LIFTS AND SKI LIFT FACILITIES, uses operated by a nonprofit agency or neighborhood associations; Sewage disposal areas, ~ater treatment-plants, water storage and reservoir areas; (4) Electric subst'ations, gas regulator stations (not including buildings for business offices, repair or storage)°
