ASPEN PLANNING COMMISSION & ASPEN HISTORIC PRESERVATION
COMMITTEE JOINT RESOLUTION CONCERNING THE DESIGNATION OF
THE STALLARD HOUSE AS AN H, HISTORIC OVERLAY DISTRICT
WHEREAS, the Aspen Historical Society, as
owner of all of Block 23, except Lots H & I, Aspen Town-
site, and the Stallard House situated thereon, has indi-
cated agreement that said property be designated as an H,
Historic Overlay District as provided for in Section 9.1
of Chapter 24 of the Municipal Code, and
WHEREAS, the Aspen Planning Commission and the
Aspen Historic Preservation Committee have met in joint public
hearing after giving proper public notice and have duly con-
sidered all statements and comments concerning said proposed
designation, and
WHEREAS, the site and structure proposed for H,
Historic Overlay District designation meets certain planning
criteria and standards as outline in Paragraph 2. of Subsec-
(e), Section 9.1 of Chapter 24 of the Municipal Code,

WHEREAS, the site and structure proposed for H,
Historic Overlay District designation meets certain required
historic and architectural standards as outlined in Subsection
(d), Section 9.1 of Chapter 24 of the Municipal Code,
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Aspen
Planning Commission and the Aspen Historic Preservation Com-
mittee hereby recormnend to the City Council that all of Block
23, except Lots H & I, and the Stallard House situated thereon,
be designated as a H, Historic Overlay District.
