WHEt~AS, the U.S. Corps of Engineers, Sacramento
District, bas completed for the City of Aspen and Pitkin
County a Flood Plain Information Report Roaring Fork River
and Castle and Hunter Creeks, Aspen, Colorado, dated June
1973, and
Wt~REAS, above said flood Plain report was pre-
sented to the Cfty Council, County Commissioners and the
public at a regular meeting of the Aspen City Council on
August 13, 1973, and
WHEP~AS~ the Colorado Water Conservation Board
in regular meeting assembled in Denver, Colorado, the 31st
day of October: 1973, designated and approved as flood
hazard areas those areas described as being inundated by
an intermediate regional
Plain Information Report
and Hunter Creeks, Aspen,
flood as set forth in the Flood
for Roaring Fork River and Castle
Colorado dated June 1973, and
W~REAS, the Aspen Planning Commission held a
public hearing on December 18, 1973 to consider the adoption
of the Flood Plain Information Roaring Fork River and Castle
and Hunter Creeks, dated Jnne, ].973,
NOW TUEfIEFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Aspen
Planning Commi.';:;fon he~'cby adopts Flood Plain Information
P~g,c
Roaring Fork Rive]: and Castle and Uunter Creeks dated
June 1973 to use as the standard for determining com-
pliance with the City Code, Chapter 20, Subdivisions and
Chapter 24, Zoning.
