HomeMy WebLinkAboutminutes.hpc.19830322RECORD OF PROCEEDINGS 100 Leaves Historic Preservation Con~nittee Regular Meeting March 22, 1983 City Council Chzraber The Historic Preservation Co~ttee held its regular meeting on N~arch 22, 1983 in the City Council Chambers, acting chairperson w~s Georgeann Waggan~uu, Nick Pasquarella, Connie Mc Crudden, Gretchen Greenwood, Terry End, Mona Frost, and Richard Cicero, staff Bill Drueding and Colette Penne: Minutes Mona Frost asked the record shewed she had and excused absences for the last three meetings; The Minutes for the meeting of February 8th as amended, all in favor, motion carried; Copper Horse The preliminary review of the extension of the Copper Horse at 328 West Main by Nell Bennett the owner of the Copper Horese, asking for approval of adding an extention on to the living room, where the porch is now; the vestibule was added to the house in 1975 and will be similar to that; Colette Penne said the house has had scme changes already and this change will basicly fit in with the appearances and earlier changes, the perch extends around the side of the house but is not used as the front part of the perch is; The Elisjah house is next door and no property change will occur except on the perch itself no footage as far as the lot is concerned. Nick Pasquare~la asked or suggested that the addition be built out to the end on the perch and be flush with the end of the perch, Nell Bennett said this is what he would like to do. Colette Penne said that a letter from ( M.J. ) Elisjah should be given to this co, tree to ge on record as stating that they de not object to these plans for the Copper Horse in doing so, this item will not h~ve to go to Public Hearing, because there is only one property owner affected. Gretchen Greenwood moved to apprevethe change for the Copper Horse, to make it sirailar to the vestibule, Connie Mc Crudden seconded the motion, all in favor, Motion carried. Nat. Trust His. Preserv. The report from the National Trust and Historic Preservation, Colette Penne said she just wanted the members to have a copy of the letter handed out at the meeting, Mona Frost, Terry End and Colette Penne were able to attend. Discussion Discussion of HPC procedures, it was discussed and it was felt that after some of the shorter meetings that a work session would be held afterwards, agenda's and packet information would be down to the secretary by Thursday at noon, and mailed out by Friday. Colette Penne said that as a preliminary review, a site visit should take place between the preliminary and the final review, if a site visit is neeessarary that members can not give appeval of a prelim/nary the item should be tabled.
