Old Bnsiness:
The Public Hearing for the Applejack Lodge, Dave Gibson open by saying
that at the last r~=eting this body looked at the preliminary review
of this project, end as of now, they have developed those ideas end
the material; There are two conditions for the Applejack , one is the
alley side and the west side, which are going to be obtain the existing
siding and paint it, a solid color, on the two exposed sides the
North on Main Street, East on Second Street, they would like to put
new siding with simi transparen~ stain, also showing the color of the
cenopy material , a solid Olymic Butternut for the trim, and Fawn for
the existing siding and #914 for the new siding; Showing a prespective
taken frc~ Second and Main to show the HPC how it will look;
The Canopy takes off from the building, 38 feet long, and lends on
enother stone peir which matches the stone of the building, and takes off
with a fence around the parking lot, so you cen just see the tops of the
cars. The Main entrance to the parking area is over here, end a public
drop off under the canopy; Each of the rooms on the East gets 8by8 or
8 by 10 foot mattering what floor you are on, outside balcony;
The roof and the skylight, will remain the same, the footprint will remain
the same, except these e~rnal balconies on a raker extended out this
way, the cenopy , the pool and the fence; Bollards are around the tree
in the drive; The landscaping will stay pretty much as it is except
they will come a little closer to the building with the sidewalk, so some
trees will have to be reloca%ed in the front area, Richard Cicero asked
what are the changes from what HP~ has approved already? Dave Gibson
replied the changes are, they haveelimimted the stone pier, end only
a few along with the fence, eliminated the wing wall, so it is straight
down now, only windows on the new elevation, stretched the balcony across
but not the roof, the balconies conneck only on the top floor
Asked if the members ~uld consider the owners request because of cost,
to have an option of doing a matching color on the balconies panels
instead of copper, the members liked the idea of the copper, and ties the
building, roof and canopy together; Mona Frost asked if there will be
access for the handicap, Dave said that was another minor chenge,
you use the public sidewalk to get in the front door, the public
hearing wes closed.
Gretchen Greenwood moved to approve the design of the copper trim
siding on the baloncy or deck, with the minor ch~dges as:p~sented today
secon~ed..'by ~ichar~-'Cide~o~ all in favor, motion carried.
New Business:
