Colette advises the committee that the first set of plans that
Dr. Wesson had submitted that were all but approved by the committee

new plans for a smaller building that he would like approved, but
that if that did not happen he would go ahead and build the first
one. The plans for the scaled down building are presented to the
committee. Dr. Wesson introduces Kal Hashimoto who has designed the
building. Kal shows slide of the proposed lot on Main St., plans for
the new building, and how it fits architecturally with the rest
of the block. He points out that the style would be in keeping with
the victorian style, that the trees would be left in place, and the
color of the builing would be three shades of brown stain. The roof
will have ceder shake.

sign code for the City. Richard made the motion to keep the old sign,
Larry seconds, all in favor.
Review of Mountain High Ice Cream conversion at the corner of Cooper
and Galena- Ted davis and Dan Patterson
Dan Peterson , the president of Paradise Bakery, showed the committee
color plans of the proposed bakery and building that will occupy the
corner of Cooper and Galena. It is a yellow and green colored building
with a lot of window space that the building department said would be
unacceptable. The building and design are patterned after other Paradise
Bakery outlets that are in shopping centers, and the committee felt that
the colors were not in keeping with the downtown theme.
Dan explained that when he saw the for rent sign at that location, the
old Sinclair station, that that set the wheels of thought off in his
mind to put the Paradise Bakery there,
The plans will be revised appropriately to meet the building codes and
will be presented at public hearing.
The building at 50] E Cooper was approved as a designation,
made by larry, seconded by Nick.
The next meeting is scheduled for October 20th.
