Historic Preservation Committee regular meeting May 25, 1982
The Historic Preservation Committee held its regular meeting on May 25, 1982
in the Council Chambers at 1;00 P.M.. Present were Bill Clark, Mona Frost,
Nick Pasquarella, terry End, Marjorie Brenner, Steve Marcus, Georgeann
Waggaman, Colette Penne, Bill Drueding.
The meeting open to new business; Leather n Lace with no ,Qne
representating Linda Dickerson, the meeting went on to the
next item on the agenda.
Spence Schi£fer of Garfield and Hech~, for their cleint the
Aspen Grove Building~i asking for approval of anwings. Discussion
follow with the committee dec~iding that with following the
committee proceedure, that the drawings were not clear enough
and there was no sample of the color he spoke of, at this time;
that approval or deniel of this item be postpone
till the next meeting when the applicate is more prepared
with what this committee requirers and that they should get
in contact with Colette Penne if they have any questions.
another item to be discussed, as a late entry, not being on
the agenda was, Howard Gunther and Ronnie Morrison, requesting
approval of outside dining, with an outside patio and court
yard, to be bordered with hedges and to enter by a wrought
iron archway; They asked to remove the grass in front of the
restaurant and replace with flagstone; discussion contintued
Bill Clark stated that the HPC committee can only give a
feeling as to how the members feel about the idea of Patio
dining by taking a straw vote to give them direction of thoughts,
but that the owners have to go through the process and come
back for approval with a better presentatJQn after the site
visit at 12:30 P.M. June 8, 1982.
The meeting was then adjourned to start the work session
with the members.
