Historical Preservation Committee, Regular Meeting, July 24, 1979, city Council Chambers, i:O0PM
The Aspen Historical Preservation Committee held a regular meeting on the 24th of July, in the
City Council Chambers, at 1:00 PM. Members present were Gaard Moses, Jan Wirth, Mona Frost,
Richard Cicero, and Jon Seigle. Staff representative was J~ Reents.
~PROVAL OF MI~TES: The minutes from the June 12th and the July 10th meeting were approved as
presented.
~DITION TO THE ~ENDA: Dall Ball presented to the committee another case that he would like them
to discuss. This case is Fred Smith's. The .committee approved.
~ COCINA: This is the final approval hearing for the complete G~ plans.
Frost moved to approve the plans as presented Ring t~t they are the
final plans. Moses seconded. All in favor, the plans were approved.
The public hearing will be set up for the meeting 6n the 28th of August.
FIF~T NATIONAL BANK: Anderson stated that they have modifi~ the window trea~ent to duplicate
the ~isting ~ilding,' Stepped building out 3 feet to correct the
monolithic effect.
Moses made a motion to approve the plans as present~. Frost seconded.
All in favor, with the exception of Cicero (4-1), the motion pass~.
~SON MD MO~E: This project was tabled becasue of the lack in representation.
EPICU~: This project was tabl~ because of the lack in representation.
F~D SMITH: This would be a solar structure in which it would be modern in design.
Seigle ~uld like ~th~ to come back at the public hearing with the need~
materials. He ~uld also like to see the brick be carried out through
out the exterior.
Frost moved to grant prel~inary approval, to have materials in detail,
and to set the public hearing f6r the~28th of August. Moses seconded.
All in favor. Motion granted.
Cicero made a motion to adjourn. Frost second~. All in favor. The
