Those members present were Norm Burns, Mona Frost, Gaard Moses, Jerry Michael, and Jon Siegle. Also present is staff representative Joe Wells. APPROVAL OF MINUTES EAGLES BUILDING MINE COMPANY TOROS COMMITTEE COMMENTS The minutes of the two previous meetings were addressed by the members. The minutes were approved as presented. Due to the architect being out of town, Ulrych has asked to delay this continued public hearing. Ken Barnard, owner of the Mine Company restaurant is in Grand Junction and unable to attend this meeting and requested a delay in their application. Ms. Frost moved to add Toros to the agenda, seconded by Siegle. All in favor, motion carried. Bill Knapp, manager of Toros is present today to discuss their application for three iron railings in the south facade of their building. There are currently three wooden panels existing. The pilars would remain the same, but the iron railings would take the place of the wooden panels. The owner of Toros feels that this would enhance the appearance of the building, and would add to the visability level from the mall and from their newly renovated patio area. The Welding Company will be doing the work on the iron railing. Knapp presented photos of the wooden panels and drawings of the proposed railings to the members. These were discussed. Burns felt it would be an improvement to the exterior of the building. Ms. Frost moved to approve the application as presented for preliminary and final approval. Moses seconded this motion, with all members in favor, motion carried. Joe Wells stated that Jim Reents will be taking over the coordination of the HPC as staff representative. He will be introduced at the next meeting, which will be July 11, 1978. The meeting adjourned at 1:20. ~l~_en A~ Deputy Cit~ Clerk
