TO: Aspen Planning and Zoning Commission
FROM: Cindy Houben, Planning Office
RE: CBS and Hamwi Subdivisions
DATE: August 16, 1988
The Planning Commission directed the staff to inform the Planning
Commission about what projects are affected by the City Council
resolution regarding the subdivision and demolition moratorium.
The two projects currently in the Planning process which will be
affected by this are the . Hamwi Subdivision and the CBS
Subdivision. The Planning Commission requested that the
applicants be informed about this meeting. I have informed
Hamwi's representative Marty Pickett of this meeting. In
addition, Sharon Tingle owner of the CBS property and her
attorney Andy Hecht have been informed of the meeting (her
representative Sunny Vann was out of town at the time).
As you are aware the Hamwi proj ect has not been approved by the
Planning Commission or City Council. The project was delayed due
to scheduling overloads this spring and was also delayed due to a
mistake in scheduling by the Planning Office. The CBS Subdivision
was approved by the Planning Commission on July 19, 1988. The
Final Plat submittal was scheduled to go before the City Council
on August 22, however it has been taken off that agenda as a
result of the Moratorium.
Alan Richman will be present for the first 30 minutes of the
meeting to explain the moratorium process underway with the City
Council.
