'~he special meeting was called to order by Mayor Garfish at ~PM with Councilmen Anderson,
Braun, James and Beyer~ Attorney Stewart and City Administrator Wurl present.
Pascal not to go A~/~arne~ $te~ reported that Pascal Construction Company had .indicated to Dale Rea that
ahead with bid. they would not go Ahead with the contract for the installation of the waterworks, and that they
had failed to include the digging amounts in their bids. Rea called pascal to come to his office
to find out if he would be interested in sub~itting another bid but Pascal did mot come in.
Pascal Bid Bond Mr. Stewart said Pascal had ph~led ~ and indicated that he wanted to send in a certi-
fied check to cover bid bond - as he wanted to replace the bond with a check. Discussion followed
and it was decided to hold the bond until the bonding company is contacted. Mr. Stewart will
handle this.

Matter of getting new bids discussed.
Attorney Stewart will call Pascal Tuesday and tell him Council wants a letter from him stating that
he does not want to go ahead and giving the reason wh~, and telling him that the bid bond will not he
released until after th~ bending company has been consulted by Council.

lint Stewart suggested that MK Construction ompany be in~mmed re bids. Ne also informed Council
that City Dmd received a summons in connection with the case of the Aspen Skating Rink vs the City. He S~m~ons
expl~t~ed that burden of proof is on the ~kating Rink. Skating Rink

A request had. been received for a special meeting in connection with an applicati~ for a liquor
license for the Heidelberg. It' was decided that this should be handled at a regular meetinge
Mayor Garfish will see Cris Kralicek regarding the hiring of a police marshal.
The maintenance of Wagner Park was discussed. There is an agreement between the airy, the County
and the School in connection with Wagner Park. Councilman Beyer is getting information as to amount Wagner Park
paid by each ~and cost of present maintenance.
It was reported that Snyder wants an agreement on the City-Oomnty dump improvement. Mr. Wurl was Dmmp

instructed to go ahead with this. Wurl said they wanted to put up signs and were awaiting '~
as to fines. Attorney Stewart will check on amount o~f fine. Wurl was told it is in order %p put up
directional signs.
The Clerk was informed that she may send for book - Handbook for Mayors and COUncilman - from
Colorado-Municipal League. Cost $5.0~.
It was suggested that Dale Rea shonld send out notices of the ~eJection of bids previously sub-
mitred for waterworks installation.
