Zoning Amendments
discussed. The following were present aD an informal meeting to discuss proposed zoning amendments: Mayor
Garrish~ Councilmen James~~ Braun, Anderson and Bayer, and John Doremus. John read a letter from Henry
Pedersen resigning from the Tree Planning Connnittee.
Mr. Doren~s drew attention to changes in the following sections and they were discussed.
Paragraph - I - Section J. Maximt~m height of buildings,- reviewed by Council and maps studied.
Paragraph - ~ - Section J Maximum Height of Buildings.
Paragraph - 3 - Section F - Minimum Rear Yard.
Paragraph - ~ - Section J. ~ Maxamum Height of Buildings - to be 2~' in the unrestricted district
~o conformwith County~eqttirements.
Page 3 - A Uses permitted - Service Yard Screened - suggestion - to delete "laundry.:yards''.
Page h - Projecting signs.
Page ~ - Paragraph "E" - fences ab corners.
Page 6 - Method of Review $ site and floor plan.
Page 7 - new definition of Service Yard - question deletion of "hanging of laundry".
Councilman Anderson suggested that provision should be made for Ma~erproofing foundations to avoid
wa~er seepage. John Doremus read letter from the Nugget about wa~er accumttlation due to melting snow
and rain.
Discussed - curbs and gutters,and sidewalks that are in hazardous cond%tion, - to be brought up
at regular meeting. It was suggested that the Building Inspeator notify owners of need for repair.
Copy oD the proposed zoning amendments to be given to Attorney Stewart for further action.
Suggestion - provide money in budget to establish grades.
Discussed - fire tower for West End - pipe to be ordered, possibly through Shelton~ the driller. Wurl
will handle.
Hendy keeping Water Company active and legality of bis using name.
Bob Marsh sewer and contract.
Inventory of all stock on hand in Water and Electric Deparhments.
Beck and Bishop lease.
Building Inspector ,to examine gas installations ? .
The meeting then was adjourned.
