An informal meeting was called to order by Mayor Garfish at 7:30 PM with Council-
men Beyer, Anderson, Ja~es and Braun, City Administrator Wurl and City Attorney Stewart
present.

Wurl said he had consulted with Attorney Stewart about the request that the City

side City plans and specifications must meet the approval of the City and rates will be subject
to the Ordinance; that the service will be subject to the City's ability to serve and
the availabiity of water.
The matter of policy on maintenance of mains outside the City limits, adjusting
hook-up charges and rates, mains so old as to make cost of maintenance prohibitive,
was discussed, and Stewart suggested that study be made and a [irm policy be adopted.
He and Wurl will work on a plan to be submitted to Council. 5~url is to have a re-
connt made to be sure correct charges for water service are being made, and consideration
will also be given to allowance for irrigation for those on meters; and also to meter-
ing users outside City limits and commercial establishments in Aspen.
Wurl said that trees were interefering with power lines and this will be handled
by the Electric Depaf~aent.
He reported that repairs to date on the Police car amounted to about $300.00, and
Police Car cost to overhaul it would be about $320.00; also that cost to trade it for another car
would be $775.00. Possible rehtal of car discussed and Wurl has written for information.
Wurl read letter from Attorney Delaneyabout radio communication in Romring Fork
Valley in connection with police and fire calls. May6r Garfish will ask Lawrence Elisha
Police & Fire if the Hotel Jerome will continue to handle fire calls.

Regarding the land around the Glory Hole letters from John Doremus and Roy Vroom
Glory Hole outlining their appraisals were read and discussed, The appraisals were 80¢ and $1.00
~ per square foot and it was suggeste~ that an average be taken and letters sent to
the Emmeric~s and Larkids. Attorney Stewart will handle.
Mayor Garfish said that ~Henry Stein has a movie of the "Ski-Deck;'and is interested
, 7"Ski-Deck" in using part of the Armory Hall for demonstration of the equipment. Discussed but
no decision made.
Also discussed- whether school is going to rent to the Music Associates this sum-
mer; Freddie Fisher's case with the police, and matter of youth driving 50 miles an
hour through the school zone, and not answering summons.
Holy Cross Wurl read a letter from Holy Cross Electric that they would be willing to pay
$50.00 a month for service in the Electric Department. Cost of this service to the
City,~hether personnel have time to handle were considere4.
Attorney Stewart suggested that consideration be given to an audit recheck by an
Audit recheck expert, and Wurl will ask John Hall if he would be interested in taking this on in
addition to his present duties as Treasurer.
Wurl read proposal from Buchanan for establishing grades ($5,~00.00~ and proposals

Rob Roy The road on Rob Roy~ property - suggest putting some fill where water
road from flume ran over it. Flume has been shut off and pipe will be laid in the Spring.
