Natural Gas
Council met informally at 7:00 PM with Harry S. Harmon of Glenwood Springs, who had
come up upon invitation to discuss the natural gas ~rogram with Council.
Harmon.
Present were Mayor Garfish, Councilmen Braun, Beyer, Anderson and James.
Mr. Harmon outlined his background of thirty years in the gas business, and 28 years
with one company, and said he had come up as a potential gas user. Me is Treasumer of Rocky Mtn.

He had prepared an analysis of the financial report of Rocky Mountain Natural Gas

ompany, and thzs was discussed at length. He said he would send copy of the analysis
to the ~ouncilmen.
He said he was disturbed by the advertisement of Rocky Mountain Natural Gas wherein
they stated that they were not going to have a feasibility report prepared, as he felt
that this should have been submitted with franchise proposal.
He e~pressed the opinion that Rocky Mountain should have furnished the report for i
the first quarter of 1961 as requested by Council. ~<_.~
He said that as a potential customer~ his concern was that the company granted the
franchise be able to meet allTthe requirements of gas service during the period of the
franchise.
Mr. Garfish thanked Mr Harmon for coming to the meeting, which was then adjourned.
