The informal m~eting was opened at 7:30PM by Mayor Garfish, with C~uncilmen Beyer,
Moore and Newell, City Attor-aey Stewart, City Administrator Humphrey present.
Residents from Riverside sub-division attending were - Ted Mu!arz, Tage P~dersen,
Michael Drew, Mead Metcalf, Mrs. Straud, and Shady Lane. Also present were Fred Glidden
and Mr. Cornell of P~rtland Cement Co.
Discussion covered water rates, and possible increase - repair of mains, cost of
insurance, fire protection, police protection, availability of sewer system.
Council suggested that the residents stud~ feasibility of annexation, also that
a petition be circulated to see what percentage of area wants annexation, and again
present this~ matter.
Mr. Cornell outlined for Council the procedure in connection with the use of soil
cement on streets. Cost of taking three samples would be approximately $200.00 .

Mr. Stewart and Mr. Humphrey are to work with the committee for anne×aRon.
Mr. Glidden said he would serve on the Planning and Zoning Commission.
Put on agenda - request from Shelton for an advance on tb~ well drilling job.
Upon motion by Moore, seconded by Beyer, the meeting was adjourned at 10:28 PM.
