Administrator Kerrigan and City Building Inspector Thurston, met with Jack Wa~ls~
Chairman, and King Woodward and Francis Whitaker of the City Planning Commission, Planner
and members of the County Planning Commission.
The purpose of the meeting was an interview wi~h representatives of Leo A.
Daly, - William Gorbio~, .Planning Director, and Jerry Brown.
M~. Corbion gave outline of the firm's background - and referred to chart
indicating the amount of Mr. Wieners work that would be usable as completed and
the work that would require revision or initiation.
Discussed - that policy f~r Aspe? should be determined in opeq meetings. Jerry
Brown would be resident planner. Slzdes were shown and other projects handled by
them were outlined.

Richard Lal, and King Woodward of the City Planning Con~nission, and members of the
County Planning Commission.
M~. Walls opened the meeting a~d introduced Sam Huddleston and Roger Hansen,
planners, who made thei~ presentation. They felt base work of Mr, Wiener was not
adequate, as it is not up to date.
Discussed - Distinctive features of the Aspen area.
Scenic resources - historic interest - economic development.
Legal aspects of planning and.zoning.
Slides of planning in Leadville were shown.

Mayor Pabst, Councilman McEachern, and City Administrator Kerrigan met at
4:30 PM with Jack Walls, Richard Lai, Francis %~itaker and Kin~ W~odwgrd.Of
the City Planning Commission, and members of the County Planning ~ommlsslon, in
the Council room.
Jack Walls introduced representatives of the Ken R. White Go. - Arthur M.
Krill, President, Donald Kresler, Vice President~ Dave Sellers, Eng{neer, and
Jeffrey Holland, Chief Planner.
Mr. Holland gave outline of planning procedure and requirements-
Discussed - goals of Community- orderly procedure - legal aspects - working
closely with~Oity and County Planning Commissions, - need to provide for capital
improvements.
Regarding work' already done by Mri Wiener, they felt it is of value~ But are
not yet ready to give definite opinion.

The following met in the Council room at 4:30PM for the purpose of discussing
the long range planner for the Aspen area.
Mayor Pabst, Councilmen~McEachern and Stapleton, City Administrator Kerrigan.
Jack'Walls, Richard Lai, Francis Whitaker and King Woodward of the City Planning
Commission.
County Commissioners ~dwell and Sardy; Country Planning Commission - Edgar
Stanton,Wendy Morse, Sam Caudill, Fritz Benedict; "Shady" Lane and Bill James.
Mr. Miles of th~ State Planning Commission.
Discussed - settleme~with Mr. Wiener still in process. Procedure that will have to be
followed in engaging another planner. Need to convey to planner the desires of the
area in planning, from
A motion was made by Edgar Stanton to ~quest proposals ~N Leo Daly Go. and M~. Motion
Sam Huddleston on the long range plan. Motion was seconded by Francis Whitaker and
carried unanimously.
The meeting was adjourned upon motion by E~jar
