January .12~ 1965 - At 4:30 PM the following met to interview Mr. Sam Huddleston,
planner:

Mr. Walls opened the meeting and the following matters were discussed -
Scope of services : Maps - 701 contract - ~ Existing land use ;
economic~ development; current problems; available information- public
meetings; zoning and density controls; time planner will actuallybe in Aspen.
Mr. Huddleston said the plan would require two years - and cost would be
$39,000.00 - the progam to include:
48 regular trips and 12 extra trips to Aspen.
No aerial map - or property data thereon
~o sub-contract to architect on historic buildings.
Does include sub-contract for traffic engineer.
Mr. Huddleston gave outline of procedure to be followed and Said, if the
State agrees that this is a valid project, he would go to work on it at once.
Meeting adjourned at 6:20 PM.
January 15. 1965 At 4:30 PM the following met for an interview
with Mr. CorblOn,' of Leo Daly Co.:

Mr. Walls opened the meeting - and the following program was discussed with
Mr. Corbion:
Scope of ser~zices
Mr. Gorbion. said Jerry Brown would be in Aspen for three weeks for research
and collecting data; then for five weeks covering housing, land use, traffic,
density;, and should be able to prepare ~m~entory report.
He said they could start in March and have comprehensive plan ready befor~
'.Thanksgiving of this year.
Discussed cost of reports - would depend on nc.of colors in printing.
Jerry Brown is "master" on zoning - and annexation would be considered. He
is both a planner and a landscape architect.
Cost of plan would be $16,570.00 with reports extra, ramgi~gil from $2,000
to $14,300.00 - additional work would be handled by amendment to contract.
Mr. Corbion asked that number of trips be reduced until pt~nning is actually
in process, due to cost.
