Meeting called by Mayor Robert Barnard~ Councilmen Carl Bergman~ Clyde Clymer and John
Benninghoff for the purpose of awarding the water bond bid.
Meeting called to order by Mayor Robert Bernard at 5:10 p.m. with ~ouncilmen Carl Bergman~
John Benninghoff~ Clyde Clymer~ City Administrator Leon Wurl and City Attorny Albert Kern.
W~ter,Bomd Bids Administrator Wurl submitted to Council a breakdown of the bids as opened earlier in the dali.
Mr. Stevens of W. E. Hutton and Company was present and stated to Council he felt the low
bid was good and the market is the worst right now it has ever been.
The following Resolution ~2~ Series of 1969 was read in full by the City Clerk:

Series of 1969
WHEREAS~ the City Council of the City of Aspen has heretofore directed a Notice of Sale to
.~ be published~for the sale of General Obligation Water Bonds ~f the City in the principal
amount of $3~0~000.00~ and
WHEREAS~ pursuant to the Notice of Sale~ sealed bids were received by the City Treasurer
for the purchase of said bonds until Tuesday~ November 4th~ t969~ at 3:30 o'clock F.M.~M.S.~

~ ~ W~EREAS~ after receiving and considering bids~ ~t appears that the bid of First National
Bank of St. ~aul~ Minnesota was the highest and best bid for said ~onds~ being not less tha~
par and accrued interest therefor~ and

WHEREAS~ it is in the best interest of the City of Aspen that such bid of First National Water Bond Bids
Bank of St. Paul~ Minnesota be accepted:
THEREFORE~ BE IT RESOLVED BY T~fE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ASPEN~ COLORADO:
Section 1. That the bid of First National Bank of St. ?aull~ Minnesota~ for $350~000.00 of
General Obligation water bonds dated December 1~ 1969~ be and the same is hereby accepted ax ~
that said bonds are hereby awarded to said bidder. ~
Section 2. That the good faith deposit submitted by the successful bidder be credited to
the purchaser upon delivery of the bonds. ;
Section 3. That the City Council fo the City of Aspen~ Colorado~ is requested to do any and
all things necessary to complete the delivery of the bonds to the purchaser in accordance
with its bid.
Councilman Benninghoff moved to accept the bid of the First National Bank of St. Paul~
Minnesota and approve Resolution ~2~ Series of 1969. Seconded by Councilman Clymer; Roll
call vote Councilmen Clymer aye; Benninghoff aye; Bergman aye.
Councilman Bergman moved to adjourn at 5.'23 p.m.~ seconded by Councilman Clymer. Ail in ~ metting~adjourned.
