The reason I sounded so concerned on the phone is because one of my clients, George McGrath is in a hardship situation in which time is of the essence in getting the amended Condominium map recorded with the County Clerk and Recorder. George desperately needs to borrow the money to pay his taxes due on April 17th and Pitkin County Bank, who has already approved the loan, cannot disburse the funds until the map is recorded so their loan can be secured. The amendment is necessary because of an addition to the two units which was duly approved by the building department and zoning enforcement officer, Bill Drueding some time ago. The addition was completed in January and a certificate of occupancy issued. The signing and filing of the map should merely be a formality since all of the appropriate approvals were duly obtained and this merely shows the addition, as built. Under the circumstances, anything you can do to expedite this process would be greatly appreciated. I am available to help in any way I can. If you could make the initial determination of who needs to execute the map (I believe it should just be you and Chuck Roth, I can get Alpine Surveys to add the appropriate language to the mylar and then hand carry it to you and Chuck and Katherine Koch (if necessary) for all of your signatures. George is a close personal friend of mine as well as a client and anything you can do to help with this (admittedly self-inflicted) time crunch would be deeply appreciated by both of us.
